Mission Statement

To improve the health and wellbeing of the people and community we serve through the provision of nursing and social services.

What We Do

The Department offers a wide variety of services that address both Public Health and Social Service needs. Services can be accessed at Village Hall and the Community Connections Center. Bilingual English/ Spanish speaking staff are available at both locations.

Public Health Nursing services include:

• Office visits for consultations and education
• Screening clinics
• Community health education and prevention programs
• Community outreach nursing
• Medical lending closet assistance

Social Services are provided by department social workers.  Services fall under the following programs:

• Emergency Assistance Program
• Benefits Assistance
• General Social Services
• Police Social Services
• Senior Services
• Social Service Group programs

Senior recreation activities and programs are provided by the department throughout the week in the Farley Community Room. Services fall under the following:

• Health and Wellness Activities
• Social and Recreational Programs
• Informational and Educational Programs

Additional languages spoken by staff are German and Serbian.
