What Can IMRF's Voluntary Additional Contributions (VAC) Program Do for Me?
NCPERS Group Decreasing Life Insurance (Available only to IMRF participants)
The National Conference on Public Employees Retirement Systems (NCPERS) offers IMRF members the opportunity to participate in their Voluntary Group Life Insurance Plan. Benefit eligible IMRF members can purchase “decreasing term life insurance” through NCPERS for a cost of $16.00 per month and this cost is the same regardless of your age.
If you enroll within 90 days of your date of employment, you will become insured on the first day of the month following your first payroll deduction. If you enroll during the annual open enrollment period, your coverage would begin on January 1.
