Crumley Detention Basin Improvements

Crumley Basin is a stormwater detention facility owned and operated by the Village of Mount Prospect. Over time, the basin has experienced significant soil erosion, particularly near the inflow structure and along the basin floor adjacent to the concrete spillway. 

As part of the Village of Mount Prospect’s Strategic Plan to improve infrastructure, the Village has retained the services of an engineering consultant that specializes in stormwater projects to develop rehabilitation plans.  The goals of the project are to reduce erosion, efficiently convey the stormwater through the basin to Weller Creek, and repair any deteriorated pipe and concrete infrastructure. 

The Village of Mount Prospect is working with Bowman Consulting Group to assess current conditions and develop solutions to address key deficiencies within the basin. The map highlights the basin involved in this project.
