2022 Strategic Plan Community Summit

The Village, in conjunction with Lyle Sumek Associates, Inc., held a Community Summit on August 8, 2022.  Each member of the Village Board, along with the Village Manager, invited residents and community members to engage in an organized workshop to help the Village prepare for Strategic Plan discussions for the 2022-23 year.

A series of six questions were discussed over several round table groups, with invitee feedback being noted and then voted on by the group for prioritization. All commentary was written and shared with the consultant. For complete information on the structure of the summit, including questions asked,  participants, and feedback, view the Community Summit summary document.

History of the Strategic Plan Process

A Vision for Mount Prospect, 15 Years into the Future

The Mount Prospect Vision for 2035 represents the best of suburban communities -- thriving, proud, diverse and connected -- having a rich heritage, strong values, timeless yet contemporary atmosphere.

Each year since 2015, Village staff and Village Board work together with a hired consultant (Lyle Sumak Associates, Inc.) to complete a Strategic Plan. Short and long-term goals are identified and help ensure the board, staff, and public are each working toward consistent and measurable goals.
