The Village has received many offers for donations, assistance, or other thoughtful gestures to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is how you can help.
Stay Home, Save Lives
Reminder that the best thing we can do as a community is to stay home. If you must go out for an essential reason, maintain a 6 foot distance between you and someone else. Spread the word that social distancing works! Include the hashtag #stayhomesavelives when posting on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Donate to the Village's Emergency Financial Assistance Program
The Human Services Department manages the Village's Emergency Financial Assistance Program, which includes the food pantry, as well as needs such as rental assistance (when a five-day notice has been issued), residential utility service (once a resident has received a "disconnection" notice), and emergency medication needs.
As you can imagine, requests for emergency financial assistance has increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Emergency Financial Assistance program is funded through generous donations from individuals, local civic organizations, businesses and churches. This program is NOT funded through taxpayer dollars.
If you are interested in assisting our local hospital, Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) has a website which accepts donations.
