Looking to Host a Special Event in Mount Prospect?

The Village of Mount Prospect established a Special Events section in the Village Code in 2025.  Special events require planning with consideration of an event's impact on the health, safety and welfare of those attending and impacted by the event, adverse effects on neighboring areas, and request for Village services.

The Special Event Permit Application provides applicants an overview of the types of arrangements, approvals and documents that may be required for proposed events. Applicants may contact the Village for a preliminary review of their proposed event prior to submitting an application.

**Neighborhood block parties are exempt from the Special Event Application. Please complete the Block Party Request form available on the mpDelivers page, or via the SeeClickFix app (for iPhone or Android).

Applications (including additional required applications or licenses) must be submitted no less than 30 business days prior to the proposed event.

Please request an application by contacting the Village Manager's Office via email at VMO@mountprospect.org or by phone 847-818-5300.
