Human Resources coordinates recruitment, testing, selection, staff development and training, management of employee benefit programs and all Human Resources related activities for the Village of Mount Prospect.
Employee benefit programs include health services, life insurance, voluntary short term disability, pension programs, unemployment compensation, deferred income programs, vacation, sick leave, longevity and holiday pay programs. The department is responsible for the administration of Village personnel policy and procedures.
Additional responsibilities include administrative and management duties assigned to the office by the Village Manager.

In compliance with Public Act 97-0609 the Village of Mount Prospect reports the total compensation package for each employee having a total compensation package that exceeds $75,000 per year.
Total compensation package for purposes of the Act means “payment by the employer to the employee for salary, health insurance, a housing allowance, a vehicle allowance, a clothing allowance, bonuses, loans, vacation days granted, and sick days granted.” Information is available by year by clicking the links below
