Enroll Now for 2026 Citizens Police Academy

DSC_1077The Police Department is accepting applications for the Citizens Police Academy. The Academy is open to any Village resident who is 18 years of age or older and free of any criminal history.

The Citizens Police Academy will begin on Monday, September 14 from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. and will continue for 10 consecutive Mondays through November 16 at the Mount Prospect Police Department.

Academy topics will include traffic enforcement, crime scene processing, field training, and criminal law. Academy students will also be allowed to make simulated traffic stops and learn from the department’s master firearms instructors on the department’s pistol range.
2025 cpaAcademy applications are available at the Police Department front desk or by clicking here. Applications need to be submitted to the Police Department by 9:00 a.m. on August 26, 2026.
