Background

The Village of Mount Prospect is in the middle of a public involvement and design process that will culminate in the final design and construction cost estimate for a 0.33-acre park located at the northeast corner of S. Emerson Street and E. Busse Avenue.  The site for the park was identified in both the Mount Prospect Downtown Implementation Plan and Village Comprehensive Plan for public open space in the downtown. The site is two blocks northeast of the Mount Prospect Metra Station. The park is to be named “Edwin and Elsie (Meyn) Busse Park”.

The Village Board of Trustees selected Altamanu Inc. as its primary design and public involvement consultant at its regularly scheduled July 17th, 2018 Board Meeting.  Links to Altamanu's facebook and instagram pages for the park are provided here.
