The Special Events Commission is established pursuant to Chapter 5, Article XII of the Village Code.
What We Do
The Special Events Commission plans a number of community events throughout the year, including the Shining Stars Gala, Family Bike Ride, Christkindlmarket, and more!

Meetings and Membership
Meeting Schedule: Meets the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Executive Conference Room at Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson Street.
Purpose: To create and sponsor activities, celebrations, and observances for the enjoyment and education of the residents of the Village and visitors to our Village.

Membership: Fifteen members, a majority of whom shall be Village residents. The mayor shall be an ex officio member of the Commission.
