One of the more important responsibilities of the Mayor and the Board of Trustees is to nominate and confirm interested and qualified citizens to serve on the various standing and Ad Hoc Boards, Commissions and Committees that have been created to assist in accomplishing the business of local government.
Citizens may volunteer for appointment, or be recommended by a present or post Board member, an existing Committee or Commission member or the public at-large.
Those who have expressed a willingness to serve are typically known to one or more members of the Board, but not necessarily to all. In an effort to help keep all Board members informed about each Committee or Commission member, the Village requests an online brief application form that shares information about the individual's qualifications, interests and background.
Accordingly, residents are invited to complete the form below. If, in a resident's judgment, a question is asked that he/she feels is not relevant, the resident can choose to leave it blank. Questions are asked in the spirit of getting to know the interested resident better or to introduce the resident to board members for the first time. Obviously, there are no right or wrong answers, so those interested in serving on a Committee or a Commission are encourage to be candid and factual as the information will only be shared with those who have a need to know the individual's qualifications.
