Teen Substance Abuse Prevention Session - Sept. 26

The Village of Mount Prospect Human Services Department, in partnership with the Kenneth Young Center and the Communities for Positive Youth Development (CPYD) Coalition, is hosting a Parent Information Session on Teen Substance Abuse Prevention on Thursday, September 26 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Farley Community Room of the Mount Prospect Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson Street. 

The session will cover topics including youth substance abuse trends and stats, how to engage your kids in a conversation about substances, and how to discuss the upcoming legalization of marijuana with your kids. 

Funding for this session is provided in whole or in part by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).
