The Village of Mount Prospect is developing a comprehensive Stormwater Management Master Plan to help address current and future flooding challenges throughout the community. As part of this important effort, residents are encouraged to complete the online Private Property Flooding Questionnaire and share their experiences with stormwater and flooding issues on their property.
Information collected through the questionnaire will provide valuable insight into areas impacted by flooding and help identify priorities for future improvements. Resident feedback will play a key role in shaping stormwater management strategies, infrastructure investments, and policies that will guide flood mitigation efforts in the Village over the next 20 years.
Residents are also invited to attend upcoming open house meetings to learn more about the project, review information, and discuss stormwater concerns with project representatives and Village staff. The meetings will be held on:
- Wednesday, June 11
- Wednesday, June 25
Both open houses will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Village Hall Community Room. This is a drop-in format, and residents may attend at any time during the meeting hours.
Community participation is essential to ensuring the Stormwater Management Master Plan reflects local experiences and priorities. The Village encourages all residents to complete the questionnaire and attend an open house to help shape the future of stormwater management in Mount Prospect.
