On February 19, Mayor Paul Hoefert delivered the 2026 State of the Village Address. The presentation was held in conjunction with the Economic Development Commission's business awards.

The State of the Village summarizes the past year of accomplishments and initiatives while also shedding light on the vision for the future of Mount Prospect.

The Economic Development Commission Awards ceremony honored Mount Prospect businesses that demonstrate excellence in growth, innovation, and community impact.

• Enduring Business Award - Le Peep Breakfast & Lunch
• Budding Business Award - Khepri Kitchen + Coffee
• Entrepreneurship Award -Karen Enzenbacher for Amethyst Skye Salon
• Rehabilitation / Improvement Award -R&A Construction for 2072 W. Algonquin 
• Project of the Year Award - The Brown Family for CoCo & Maple
