U.S. Department of State - Travel Documents
New Requirements - Effective June 1, 2009
As of June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens must present a passport book, passport card,
or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government to enter the United
States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda at land borders and sea
ports of entry.
In an effort to better meet the needs of our residents, the Village
Clerk’s office now serves as a passport acceptance agency, thus eliminating the
need for residents to travel to neighboring communities for passport
applications.
Staff is authorized to provide necessary
applications and forms, and to accept completed applications and documentation
for submittal to the appropriate agency for processing. This office does not
serve as a passport processing facility.
This service is available on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon, and Wednesdays,
from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
We do not accept credit cards. The fees must be in the form of a check or money
order.
For more information on passports, visit the
Federal Government's State
Department Passport Services Page, or call the Clerk's office at 392-6000. |
