Volunteers are an essential part of Human Services programming. Without our army
of volunteer workers, many of our programs and services would not exist.
Volunteer opportunities are available in the Social Services and Nursing/Health
areas as well as with Senior Activities. Some examples of volunteer
opportunities include: Food Pantry, Flu Shots, monthly Health Screenings, Home
Delivered Meals, Mentors, Drivers, Income Tax, Senior Citizens Advisory Council,
Bingo, Bridge, Open Door Social, and many more.
- Community Center Information Desk – This volunteer position is essential in
the functioning of the Community Center. The volunteers act as the “Official
Greeter” of the facility, which ensures that long term and first time users of
the Community Center feel welcomed.
- Volunteer Appreciation Reception -- This event is held each year to
recognize all of our many volunteer workers who devote enormous amounts of time
to all the Human Services programs.
