 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Holiday Meal Baskets

Holidays are approaching! Help is available to low-income individuals living in Mount Prospect who need assistance during the Holiday Season. For additional information or to schedule an appointment to apply for the holiday assistance, please call the Human Services Department at 847/870-5680.

In past years, local businesses, civic organizations, churches and individuals have helped to make holiday assistance programs very successful. This year again, with your help, we plan to bring happiness to residents who would otherwise not have the items that help to make holiday time special. In order to allow time for packing and distribution, non-perishable food items, should be dropped off at the Human Services Department located on the second floor of the Mount Prospect Village Hall, 50 S. Emerson Street, between November 1 and November 16, and frozen turkeys and hams should be brought in November 21. For the December Program, non-perishable food items should be in by December 16 and frozen or canned hams in by December 21.

Volunteers are always needed for our holiday programs. If you would like to help sort the items or package the food, please call the Human Services department at 847/870-5680.
