Education and prevention continue to be the tools that help save lives. For
this very reason, the Mount Prospect Fire Department continues to focus
prevention efforts on reducing fire-related incidents in our community. Our
fire safety education programs combined with fire inspection and prevention
efforts strive to keep Village residents from becoming victims of the
emotional and physical effects of fire.
What can you do to help? Well, it's pretty simple.
- Educate yourself, your children, your co-workers.....know
what fire can do, and don't take chances.
- Prevent the opportunity for fire by recognizing careless
mistakes and taking steps to fire-proof your home and work environment.
- Practice fire escape plans, know the location of alternative
exits and practice fire safety.
