Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation or CPR is an emergency first aid procedure
for a victim of cardiac arrest or could also be performed as part of the
choking protocol. CPR consists of chest compressions and rescue breaths to
maintain a flow of oxygenated blood to the brain and heart.

The fire department is proud to offer a CPR certification course that is
designed to cover the latest techniques and information regarding
cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
Residents of Mount Prospect and surrounding communities will learn adult,
child, and infant CPR and clearing an airway obstruction. Certifications
offered for Heartsaver and health care providers.
