Procedures started in August of 2005 to extend the boundaries of
the downtown TIF district. The proposed Amendment #3 to the Downtown TIF
Redevelopment Project Area includes two commercial parcels - a commercial retail
center on Main Street, and a six story office building on Busse Avenue. The
existing Downtown TIF Redevelopment Project Area is generally bounded by
Northwest Highway on the south and on the west, Central Road on the north, and
Owen Street on the east.
All residents, taxpayers, and taxing districts in the TIF district will receive
information about changes in the redevelopment project areas as they occur. If
you are not a resident of the TIF district and wish to receive information
pertaining to one or more of the Redevelopment Project Areas within the TIF
boundaries, please fill out the interested parties registration form available
here, and submit to the Village
Clerk’s Office at the address indicated on the form.
In an effort to keep the community more informed about the status of this TIF
boundary expansion, the Village will update this section of the Website with
related information to Amendment #3, when it becomes available.
