Administrative Review for Front Porch Encroachments
Front porches can add to the enjoyment of your property! If you’d like to add an
unenclosed porch to the front of your home, but found that relief from the
zoning code is required because your home is already built up to the “required
front yard setback”, please note that the process has been simplified. The new
regulations allow the Director of Community Development to review the requests
and apply the same review standards previously used to evaluate the porch
requests. However, the requests can be heard more frequently, which reduces
approval time and costs for residents. Call the Planning office at 818-5328 with
