During the summer of 2006 the Community Development Department started the
update of the Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Land Use Plan is a policy
document used to aid the Planning & Zoning Commission in making land use
decisions.
Several review meetings to discuss the draft of the Comprehensive Plan document
were held between the summer of 2006 and the spring of 2007. An Open House took
place on December 5, 2006 to present the new proposed Land Use Map to the
community.
The Planning & Zoning Commission considered the final draft of the document at a
Public Hearing on April 12, 2007. The Planning & Zoning Commission voted 7-0 to
recommend that the Village Board adopt the update of the Comprehensive Plan and
Land Use Map. The Village Board adopted the plan at the June 5, 2007 Village
Board Meeting.
