We are pleased welcome new shop Artisan 133 located at 133 W. Prospect in Downtown Mount Prospect, 847-670-8780, Artisan133mp@aol.com. Artisan 133 was started by local residents Cindy Riesing and Beth Benoit. The shop will carry hand made one of a kind items mostly by local area artists but some from as far away as the Virgin Islands. Visit Artisan 133 and you will find beaded, semi precious stone and other jewelry, pottery, wonderful boiled wool hats and hand bags, luxury scarves, knit wrap and tailored jackets, hand made cards, collages, mirrors, paper mache, prints, paintings and more.

Artisan 133 will host a reception for artist Lynn Rushing on Friday, May 16 from 4-8. Lynn creates stoneware mushrooms for the garden. The public is welcome to visit with the artist and discuss her techniques while enjoying light refreshments.
 

Brie's Gift Gallery is located in Mount Prospect, 8 blocks east of the downtown center. DSO is open to the public daily Monday – Saturday 9am – 7pm. Catering to the female shoe trade, they have new product arriving weekly with current arrivals now containing fall and winter ladies shoes by major manufactures like Franco Sarto, Anne Klein, Donald Pliner, Via Spiga, BCBG, Micheal Kors, Cole Haan, and you’ll find the occasional Ugg, Carlos Santana, Prada and Coach styles too.  The display of product is very basic, just boxes of shoes on racks which list MSRP (manufacturers suggested retail Price) and DSO price, which is about 50% off retail.
