Pumpkin painting, scarecrow contest, hayrides, games, and crafts. Trick-or-Treat throughout town. Come enjoy a day of fall festivities for kids. FREE.

Veterans’ Day

The Veterans’ Day Ceremony will be held at the Lions Park Recreation Center. Please come out and honor and support our veterans.

Tree Lighting Ceremony & Christkindlmarket
Wednesday, November 26
Tree Lighting: 5 p.m.
Christkindlmarket: 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Village Hall - Keystone Plaza, corner of Route 83 and Busse Avenue
Bring out friends and family to witness the lighting of a tree donated by a Mount Prospect resident. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, cookies and carols. Stay and explore the Christkindlmarket which welcomes an array of local vendors with creative gifts just in time for the holidays.

Mount Prospect Historical Society 27th Annual Holiday Housewalk
Friday, December 5
3:30-9 p.m.

Stroll through one of Mount Prospect’s historic neighborhoods, Prospect Park (located directly south of the Route 83 S-curve). Peruse the interiors of this year’s featured homes, all decorated for the holidays. Enjoy refreshments and the museum store while you tour. Donation is $25 in advance, $23 for members when purchasing at the museum before the walk and $27 on the day of the walk. Tickets will be available for purchase throughout the community on Nov. 1st. Holiday Open House
Saturday, December 6
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Join the Mt. Prospect Park District for some hot cider, cookies and holiday cheer at Friendship Park Conservatory’s Holiday Open House. Musical entertainment and a visit from you-know-who will round out the fun. Bring your camera take photos of live reindeer and beautiful holiday floral displays. For more information, click here
