The Journal & Topics Newspapers will host a debate for candidates running for Mount Prospect Village Board as well as School District 57 school board starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 in the boardroom on the third floor of village hall, 50 S. Emerson St.
Mayor Arlene A. Juracek, who is running unchallenged for a second term, will make a brief opening statement.
Five candidates are running for three village trustee seats in the April 4th Election. In addition, six candidates are running for four school District 57 board seats.
Those running for village board are current Trustee Michael Zadel, challenger William Grossi and write-in candidates John Korn, Eleni Hatzis and Walter Szymczak.
Candidates in Dist. 57 include current board members Eileen Kowalczyk and Gerald McCluskey along with challengers Vicki Chung, Brian Maye, Gwynne Ryan and John Dyer.
