On
Saturday, July 25, the Village of Mount Prospect and the Mount
Prospect Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring the 10th Annual
Midsummer Downtown Block Party. The party will be held at the
intersection of Emerson Street and Busse Ave. in downtown Mount
Prospect from 4:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Scheduled entertainment includes Rolling Thunder (winner of the
Mount Prospect Public Library’s 2009 Battle of the Bands), 3-Car
Garage Band and our headliner this year will be John Lennon tribute
band Instant Karma. Free kids’ activities will include a Moonwalk,
Climbing wall, Pony Rides, Mini Ferris Wheel, Face Painting, and
more! Kids’ activities will be available from
4 – 9 p.m.
Food vendors include: Blues Bar, Bogies Ale House, Capannari’s Ice
Cream, Central Continental Bakery, Culvers of Mt. Prospect, Dave &
Jim’s Autobody Sweet Corn), Jr. Women’s Club (soda, water) MB
Financial Bank (free popcorn), Panda Express, Photo’s Hot Dogs.
Adult beverages will be available from the Chamber of Commerce!
Parking for the event is available in the East Commuter Lot
(Northwest Highway) and in Village Hall Parking Deck (Emerson
