Welcome to the inaugural Mount Prospect Celebrations of Cultures event. The Mayor and the Village Board have long recognized the diverse population that makes up the Village. As a result, the Mount Prospect Celebration of Cultures has been planned as commemoration to honor the many diverse populations that live side by side in the Village.

This event will take place on September 29th between the hours of
11 am to 7pm, at Kopp Park, located just behind RecPlex, 420 Dempster Street. The Celebration of Cultures will feature entertainment, cultural booths, craft fair and food from around the world.

Meeting multi coloredRepresent Your Culture

Since this is a new event, we are looking for residents from some of the 30+ cultures that make up Mount Prospect to represent their culture at the Culture Booths. These booths will give visitors a feel for the culture of the country and should have information, maps and artifacts. If you would like to volunteer to represent your cultural group, we would like to hear from you.  If you know of a contact for leadership in you culture, we would also like to hear from you. We want as many cultural groups represented as possible. Email Julie Kane to participate.
