Police Department Investigates Bank Robbery
MOUNT PROSPECT POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATES BANK ROBBERY
On Monday, December 12, 2016 at 3:16 P.M., the Mount Prospect Police Department responded to a Robbery at the Bank of America, located at 1080 S. Elmhurst Road (Route 83). The preliminary investigation revealed that a single white male subject entered the bank, approached a teller and handed them a note that demanded money. The teller provided the offender an undisclosed amount of United States Currency. The offender did not display or imply he possessed a weapon. The offender then exited the bank and fled the area in an unknown direction. There were no reported injuries amongst bank employees or customers.
The offender is described as a white male, 35-45 years old, approximately 5’8”, medium build, with scruffy facial hair, wearing an orange knit hat, yellow safety vest, white gloves, sunglasses and a gray flannel shirt,.
The Mount Prospect Police Department and the F.B.I. continue to investigate this Robbery.
