Construction at the Elmhurst Road Interchange on I-90, Week of June 29
Work is scheduled during the week of June 29, 2015, at the Elmhurst Road Interchange on I-90 to move traffic to and from the east on I-90 onto new ramps and shift Elmhurst Road traffic onto the newly constructed southbound bridge over I-90. Electronic message signs and directional signs will be put in place to alert drivers in advance of the ramp closures and openings and traffic shifts. The work is part of the $54 million Elmhurst Road Interchange scheduled for completion by the end of 2016.
The Tollway is rebuilding the interchange ramps along Elmhurst Road Bridge to accommodate a new, full-access diverging diamond interchange at I-90 and Elmhurst Road as part of the $3.4 billion Elgin O’Hare Western Access (EOWA) Project.
